What is up with Brooks shoe laces
What is up with Brooks shoe laces? They are so short. Only just long enough for a single tie but forget about a double to stop them coming untied during a run. A new pair of shoes arrived today and totally fed up that yet again Brooks have ignored this frequent complaint.

Ghost 12 poor quality…
I bought a pair of Ghost 12 running shoes in March 2020, I used them for a light weekly jog along good surfaced paths and roads, through to Dec 2022, I estimate I covered about 200-250 miles total, I noticed in Jan 2023 that the material on both shoes had a deep split ~50% through and 50% along the length, along both sides of the sole-sidewall interface. I accept that these shoes are out of warranty and nearly 3 years old, but given Brookes say their shoes are good for 300-500 miles, I felt it justifiable to complain . I contacted Brookes UK who advised that this failure was caused by a manufacturing defect, they didn't offer any compensation. I just think this is very poor quality for an expensive shoe.

I purchased a pair of Brooks Glycerin…
I purchased a pair of Brooks Glycerin GTS 19, having suffered from knee pain for 2 years, these running shoes have transformed my running and I highly recommend them. The most comfortable shoes i have ever owned!
Brooks Is Anti Veteran!
The customer service idiot I talked to refused to honor my Veterans discount even though I verified it through ID. Me. He treated me shamefully and acted like he was doing me a favor. Veterans have enough issues to deal with. To serve your country and be treated like crap over a stupid discount is disgusting and unacceptable. Brooks doesn’t support Veterans or even seem to support this country very much. Take your money elsewhere besides this Nazi company.

Bought a pair of ghosts on at the end…
Bought a pair of ghosts at the end of august 2022 and the material inside at the top of the heel already has a holes in it on both shoes. I don’t wear them for hours on end. An hour or so 5 times a week. Never bought Brooks before and won’t ever again

I really enjoyed the comfort of these…
I really enjoyed the comfort of these sneakers. The only problem is that the top of them wore out first. I wanted them to last longer.

Brooke’s trainers
Brooke’s trainers are a good fit but durability is very poor. My second pair had a hole in the toe before I even started to wear them for regular walking. My first pair also developed a hole in the big toe and had a lump fall out of the sole. Never experienced such problems before as a regular gym goer and runner. Very disappointing . No more Brooke’s trainers for me!!!!
Ethical Consumers should avoid Brooks
I run in Brooks Ghosts and have done so for many years. They are my go to shoes for road running and I get around 750 miles from each pair. So why the one star? The company score ZERO on the Ethical Consumer index. This company needs to up its game before I return to them.
Absolute rubbish product, avoid
I recently bought a pair of Brooks Glycerin GTS 20 Men's 2E Wide Fit Running Shoe at a cost of £139.99.
I bought them in September and only started using them in early October.
Over the last 3 x months the ankle support of the left shoe has collapsed and pretty much made the soes unwearable.
Furthermore, this identical problem happened to another pair of BROOKS I had bought a several years ago.
What I expect at this price is a robust shoe that will give me a decent life span and clearly BROOKS don't make these shoes to last.
I would have more faith in a NIKE trainer at les than half the cost of thee BROOKS.
Judging by other comments from other customers BROOKS are not interested and don't care about their inferior product.
I would suggest anyone looking at buying these shoes should look for an alternative brand...
BrooksRunningNZ - Fake company, don't buy from this online site
*This company self-evidently has nothing directly to do with Brooks Running USA.
*I purchased a pair of shoes, but none of the invoicing or other documentation had any reference at all to the Brooks company.
*The shoes were despatched from China by an unknown company.
*28 days after despatch I had not received the shoes and was told I couldn't get a refund because the shoes were in transit!
*The Customer Service is not Brooks, either, it's the same Chinese company, so you go round in circles complaining.
*Don't buy shoes online from BrooksRunningNZ, people. It's a fake company.

Ragged shoes less than 1 year old
I received a pair of Brooks adrenaline GTS shoes as a graduation gift last December and a few months into wearing them to work daily (where I sit at a desk 50% of the time and walk around the office 50% of the time) I noticed that the inside heel of the right shoe was shearing. I didn't think anything of it but overtime it kept getting worse and worse and then the left one started sheering as well. Keep in mind these shoes are less than a year old and are strictly worn to work and home. I send a claim to the Brooks Runner Support department where they basically told me that I've worn the shoes too much and they have surpassed their expected rate of durability. $140 for a pair of shoes that haven't even lasted me a year. I will never buy another pair of Brooks if this is how poorly designed their shoes are.

Environmental & Fraud prevention
I do mind buying from a UK website and then having shoes shipped individually across Europe. Fundamentally I don’t want to be part of the environmental impact of shipping individual items across Europe - I purchased from a UK website, and reasonably expected delivery from the UK. From a business perspective it makes no sense either - you have stock around the world in your local shops and indigenous purchases should be despatched from those local shops - I'm sure staff in their downtime would welcome additional activity, and think about the impact from a cost and environmental impact! What’s more shipping advices come from DHL saying shipment by RHENUS WS SE + CO KG - we want to stop emails where we don’t know the name of the sender as a means of fraud prevention, and this just encourages clicking of every tizzy hunting email. This has to stop on both grounds!

POOR SHIPMENT SERVICE. AVOID IF YOU NEED THEM WITH ANY URGENCY
This review relates to Brooks service rather than the trainers. Runners please beware ordering if you want a timely service and timely returns! Don’t make my mistake. Brooks advertises 4-5 shipping days but for me this has not been the case on either order. I desperately needed my second pair as a back up for the upcoming London Marathon and I’m already now at an estimate of 10 days plus….Brooks via DHL has really let me down. My advice is to go via a local shop or another 3rd party if you want Brooks trainers. Grossly unreliable to time. Very disappointed.

£130 trainers not arrived (2 weeks later)
First and last time ordering from Brooks. Running Shoes did not arrive!!!!!. Allegedly Delivered by DHL. tracking details and proof of delivery do not actually prove delivery yet Brooks taking DHLs word over mine. I have submitted CCTV footage of no delivery at alleged delivery time (seriously ?!?!) still taking DHLs word over mine. This is a new low for a delivery company and for a Company not caring for their customer. Words fail. Praying PayPal will come to rescue.

Expensive shoes, rubbish quality
In May I bought Brooks shoes on the advice of the "expert' at Active feet. When I returned to the store in August to complain about the sole starting to delaminate I was treated very abruptly and told I must have abused the shoe and it was not likely they would be replaced. On the basis of a photo Brooks decided the shoes were not subject to claim. Will never buy this brand again, or deal with that store again
